Results can be explained best by the customers:
“We have grown from 0-650 members in 17 months and utilization of our facility is now around 90% during open hours. None of this would have been possible without your system.” Lee Martin The POP, Knoxville

Aurelie Udall at Rancho Penasquitos Tennis Center and Tierrasanta Tennis Club, "Our two local tennis clubs in San Diego switched over to Court Reserve and we are not looking back since. Members can pay their dues or lessons, book courts and register for events like JTT. And the best part is the app. You can be on the court teaching or playing and have access on your phone. The tech support is very responsive and always a click away with the live support."

Ben from UNC The Farm said, “Thanks for all you have done for us in 2021! While the transition was challenging, the payoff has been fantastic. It was amazing to see such a small number for accounts receivable at year end. Thank you for all of the time you spent helping us convert!

Debbie from Blakeney Racquet & Swim Club said, “We received this comment from a member today. CourtReserve is awesome, just logged in to check it out and we’ve needed something like this for so long, so happy to finally see it there!”

Lori Nieder from Miami Beach Tennis Center stated, “This system is GENIUS!”

Break the Love, an App Connecting Tennis Players, Raises $2.5M Seed Round

Break the Love, a social tennis app that helps players find opponents and court time, has raised a $2.5 million seed round. Break the Love is a graduate of the leAD Sports & Health Tech accelerator. The Lake Nona Fund, which is backed by leAD and the Tavistock Group, led the round.

Break-The-Love.jpg

Founder and CEO Trisha Goyal started Break the Love to connect with other area tennis players. That has grown into an app with support for social clubs, instructional classes and competitive leagues. Based in New York City, the company has branched out to serve other regions in New York, as well as the Virginia-Maryland-DC area, Southern California and Southeastern Florida.

Antler Ventures, Red Giraffe Advisors and Caddie Ventures were the institutional investors, and they were joined by Naomi Osaka’s coach (Wim Fissette) and a former Wimbledon doubles champion (Vania King), among others.

SpecTennis-Logo.jpg

Nate Gross, founder of Spec Tennis, sent us this message:

"I'm super excited to announce the launch of The Spec Tennis App. I encourage you to sign up for it here:

https://app.spectennis.com

You'll get a free 14-day trial, and then after that it's $8 per year (very small fee for the power that the app offers)

Some features of the app include:

•Finding places to play Spec Tennis

•Finding people to play with

•Easily run tournaments & leagues

Initially, when you first start using the app, there might not yet be that many 'places to play or 'clubs' to join, but that will populate over time.

It's very important that we get as many Spec Tennis players as possible using the app though so that we can start creating more clubs & places to play, so please consider signing up for it!

Conga Sports
SpecTennis-Paddle.jpg

That way one day you are traveling and want to play Spec Tennis on your trip, you can type in  "Atlanta" to the search feature for example, and you'll be able to connect & play with players there.

Thanks for your help in growing the Spec Tennis community.

**If you'd like to start your own "Spec Tennis Club" let me know and I'll get it added to the app!***

Please let me know if you have any questions I can answer.

Best,

Podcast Season 11, Episode 1, from January 4, 2022
It seems only fitting to kick off the year with another brilliant conversation with tennis fitness specialist, Dean Hollingworth, who was our most-downloaded podcast guest during Season 10. Dean is back this season to give you some very practical and actionable exercises to help your junior player(s) prepare for on-court play, recover between matches during competition, and keep the body healthy overall. If you’re listening to this episode on your favorite podcast app, I encourage you to check out the video version on ParentingAces.com so you can see Dean and his players in action.

Podcast Season 11, Episode 2, from January 11, 2022

This week we bring back coach JY Aubone to talk about why junior tennis player and their parents need to keep their eye on the process and not get sidelined by focusing only on results. JY believes players can only be as good as their environment allows them to be, and too many players are being failed by the structure their academies are putting in place. His goal is to help parents put in place the proper developmental environment so their child has the best chance to maximize their potential. Whether their goal is to play Division I college tennis, pro, or high school tennis, there is only one type of environment that can help a player maximize their potential.

Podcast Season 11, Episode 3, from January 4, 2022

This week we revisit the Progress Tour with its creator, Barry Fulcher. Barry Fulcher grew up in a Tennis Family. His parents and his siblings were avid players, so it was only fitting that Barry start honing his racquet and court skills as a toddler in the UK. His love of the game and of competition led him to a very successful junior tennis career such that he decided to go the professional route. He quickly realized his skills didn’t translate well to the pro tour, so Barry decided to try his hand at coaching while continuing to compete locally.

OMORPHO LAUNCHES GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR™, A REVOLUTIONARY LINE OF SPORTSWEAR DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FITTER, FASTER, AND STRONGER

GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR uses MicroLoad™ to amplify the effect of any workout
by strategically distributing small amounts of weight across the body

Cynthia Erivo, Julio Jones, and Ajla Tomljanovic headline list of influential ambassadors

OMORPHO, a premium sports, and fitness company, today launches GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR™. The groundbreaking sportswear collection, powered by MicroLoad™, strategically places small amounts of weight across the body, to improve fitness, speed, and power without limiting natural movement.

Founded by former Nike executive Stefan Olander, TBWA’s incoming Chief Creative Experience Officer, Ben Williams, and developed and brought to market by a group of former senior Nike executives, OMORPHO challenges the misconception that lightweight apparel is better for all sports and training.

“We’ve always been told that what we wear for sports and fitness should be as lightweight as possible, but the first thing we do to get stronger and fitter is add resistance. So why not build it into what we wear?” said Stefan Olander, Co- founder, OMORPHO. “Sports apparel today is optimized for competition, but most people compete less than 1% of the time. We’ve created a beautiful and functional collection for the other 99%, using a completely new approach to deliver better results by adding small amounts of weight that don’t restrict movement.”

Omorpho-W1.jpg

The collection was developed following more than three years of rigorous testing, athletic research, and a meticulous product creation process. It is constructed with premium performance fabrics that provide comfort and elasticity for maximum range of motion during any type of training. The visible weighted Gravity Spheres that make up MicroLoad™ are strategically placed for functionality and intentionally designed to deliver an aesthetic that boosts confidence to give you more from every workout, without ever getting in your way.

OMORPHO launches with a lineup of ambassadors comprised of some of the world’s top athletes, artists, and celebrities, all of whom share the mission to create a new era of functional sportswear. The diversity of ambassadors further demonstrates the broad application of GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR across the athletic spectrum: from sport to dance to general fitness.

Omorpho-M1.jpg

The OMORPHO Crew includes:

  • Cynthia Erivo: Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award-winning actress, singer/songwriter, and producer

  • Matthias Dandois: BMX athlete, actor, and model; Nine-time UCI World Champion, BMX Flatland; Among the most influential people in action sports across disciplines

  • Ajla Tomljanović: 2021 Wimbledon quarterfinalist, Top 50 ranked professional tennis player, Team Australia member in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in 2019

  • Annie Kunz: Heptathlete, 2021 US Champion & Team USA Olympian

Omorpho-Tomljanovic.jpg

Ajla Tomljanovic

“An active lifestyle and staying fit are essential to my physical and mental well-being,” said Cynthia Erivo. “When I was introduced to GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR I was taken by the boldness in the design of the product and amazed by the feeling I got when working out in it. The weight of the product essentially disappeared once I put it on and I felt feather-light once I removed it following training. This is truly the next era of fitness.”

Omorpho-Julio.jpg

Julio Jones

Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans Wide Receiver continues, “I’ve played football my whole life and training apparel is a given staple, so when I first got to try on GRAVITY SPORTSWEAR my first thought was - “I can’t believe no one has done this before, it’s a game charger.”

OMORPHO’s launch coincides with the closing of $5 million in seed funding. The oversubscribed round was led by Chicago-based sports/tech VC firm KB Partners with participation from Bullish, Viking Macabee, ex-Nike executives and several family offices.
