Message from the HEAD Family - #HEADTogether

During this difficult time, we sincerely hope that you are keeping well with your loved ones.

We have been publishing content on Social Media around the hashtag #HEADtogether. With the upcoming tennis season significantly delayed & the winter season abruptly ended by the COVID-19 crisis, we have created a space online for tennis & ski enthusiasts to share how they’re staying motivated. We’ve reached out to our athletes to contribute content, our fans to send in their own stories and to our HEAD ambassadors to talk about their experiences.

#HEADtogether will remind us of our sporting spirit. Join in by sharing your stories and don't forget to use the hashtag.

We will get through this together.

From our hearts to yours,
the HEAD family

If you had attended one of our 12 educational seminars on tennis, pickleball, or basketball court construction in 9 states this last spring you would know how the number above relates to tennis court construction. 94 attendees now know that answer, including 15 school districts, 1 college, 37 parks & recreation, 15 engineers and architects, 6 club owners, 2 members of the USTA , 3 manufacturers and 15 tennis court contractors (including 2 CTCB's).

Those owners attending were responsible for over 1,600 tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, with an estimated replacement cost of $80,000,000. Our "Pursuing Excellence in Tennis Court Design" seminars are composed to educate attendees on the process of designing facilities with reduced maintenance, helping owners to achieve a better return on their investments, and how to evaluate existing facilities for long term renovations. The discussion also centered around the industries change to better, long term membrane systems such as NGI's TitanTrax Xtreme and ProBounce and how the USTA can help with grant money, concept design, and technical advice.

Since 1996 we have held 149 seminars with over a thousand attendees and this year marked a new milestone for us. Two engineering firms,

Collier Engineering from Nashville, TN and Larson Engineering from West Des Moines, IA, felt strongly enough about the necessity of educating owners that they each sponsored a seminar at their own offices. Our hat goes off to them, especially to Matt Campbell from Collier Engineering, where we had standing room only with an attendance of over 30 people.

If you want to know the answer to how 186,000 relates to tennis court construction, attend one of our seminars in 2021, or better yet, sponsor one in your area.

TGA Premier Sports Lauded Among Top Franchisors
on Entrepreneur List and Franchise Business Review’s Rankings

Top youth sports tennis brand named in Franchise 500®, on Hottest Franchise Categories for 2020 List

TGA Premier Sports (TGA), the go-to brand for introducing children to the sport of tennis and the nation’s most prolific provider of in-school- and community-based youth tennis enrichment programs, has been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® ranking, a distinction that the publication says indicates TGA is among companies “that continue to evolve to keep going strong year after year.”

The 41st annual Franchise 500® appeared in the January 2020 issue of Entrepreneur with TGA Premier Sports at No. 460 on the list. More than 1,100 companies applied for Franchise 500® consideration, which made the selection process the most competitive to date. Using a proprietary ranking formula called its “Five Pillars of the Franchise 500”, Entrepreneur analyzed key business factors when evaluating franchise opportunities, including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability.

According to Entrepreneur, “More than forty years after the very first Franchise 500® ranking, the franchise industry is still going strong and more competitive than ever.” TGA was also listed among companies included in Entrepreneur’s list of “Hottest Franchise Categories for 2020,” in the Fitness Businesses category.

“Tennis participation is grown at the local grassroots level through scalable, replicable and self-sustaining programs. TGA’s business model in the tennis industry checks off all those boxes and it’s an honor to be recognized on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® list. At No. 460, it makes us work even harder to climb the ladder businesswise while impacting more youth and families in their communities through tennis,” says Joshua Jacobs, CEO of TGA Premier Sports.

The accolades continued to roll in with TGA’s recent inclusion in Franchise Business Review’s list of the “11 Top Rated Youth Sports Franchises Worth Investing In.” TGA came in at No. 2 on that ranking. Franchise Business Review surveys hundreds of franchisees, every year, from dozens of youth sports franchise brands. FBR then rates the top brands in the category based solely on franchisee satisfaction.

TGA (Teach, Grow, Achieve) is making an undeniable impact in communities, and the tennis industry as a whole, by engaging more than 210,000 participants since 2012. With 68 percent of TGA participants being new to the sport, the innovative, franchise-powered company also funnels 35 percent of its participants to tennis facilities and accounts for almost 20 percent of total in-school tennis programs in the United States. Simply put, these programs bring tennis to the masses and activate non-playing students and parents.

TGA believes “Sports Change Lives” and its franchise owners bring a think globally but act locally mantra to their businesses. TGA’s tennis programming is designed to create a passion for sport at an early age and encourage today’s youth to Keep Playing!®.
